Spanish Afterschool Program at Phinney Center

Our Spanish after-school program offers an enriching experience where children engage in a variety of fun cultural activities, including art, cooking, STEM projects, games, and outdoor sports—all while being immersed in the Spanish language. With our bilingual teachers guiding the way, kids will not only develop their language skills but also gain a deeper appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures through hands-on learning and collaborative play. This dynamic environment fosters creativity, teamwork, and confidence, making language acquisition an enjoyable adventure!

Our Spanish Afterschool Program runs Monday - Friday from 2:45PM - 6PM. We are located at Phinney Center. We follow SPS calendar and offer Day Camps on SPS closure days.
Parents/caregivers can choose how many days per week they want to enroll their kids. ​​

2:45 PM - 6:00 PM
3:45 PM - 6:00 PM (Ideal for schools with Late Bell dismissal)
Wednesday Early Release:
Due to SPS early release, after-school care on Wednesdays requires an additional $75/month if needed.
Students enrolled 5 days per week are exempt from this fee.

Transportation:
Private transportation is available from John Stanford International, Greenwood, Daniel Bagley, and B.F. Day Elementary at $24/month per day for the 2025–2026 school year (limited spots).
​
If your school isn’t listed or we’re full, please contact Seattle Public Schools’ Transportation Service to find a nearby drop-off location. A teacher will meet students at designated stops and escort them to PNA. Nearby schools with stops include JSIS, West Woodland, Cascadia, McDonald International, and Whittier Elementary.

Sibling Discount:
After enrolling your first child, receive 10% off additional plans of equal or lesser value, up to $150 per family.

Registration Process & Policies​
JOL Afterschool Fall 2025

​Registration for members opens on January 29, 2025
Members are those that are currently enrolled in our afterschool or preschool programs and their siblings.​
​
New Families
The Enrollment Request Form for new families including incoming kindergarteners will open on January 29, 2025 at 8AM.
​
Registration for new families opens on February 12, 2025.

If you receive a notification that you've been offered a spot in our program, please be aware that we will hold your spot for 72 hours to complete your registration before moving to the next person on the list from the Enrollment Request Form. To ensure you receive our communication, kindly add info@jumponlanguages to your safe sender list and check your spam folder.

When a spot becomes available, we evaluate whether we can accommodate your full request, including any transportation needs.

We will begin contacting people on the inquiry list on February 12, depending on your spot, it may take a few days until we reach you.

Please note that if you register without being notified it is your turn from the wait list, we will not honor the registration and any payments will be refunded minus the payment processing fee.

​Transportation
We expect that all schools currently providing Seattle Public Schools transportation to the Phinney Center (McDonald, West Woodland, JSIS, Cascadia, and Whittier Elementary) will continue to do so. If there are any changes to this, we will make every effort to find an alternative solution. However, if we are unable to secure a reasonable option and you choose to unenroll, we will refund 50% of your registration fee, provided the request is made by September 1st.

Cancellation Policies
​The first month’s tuition is partially refundable, minus a $50 administrative fee for each day of the week your child was registered. This administrative fee helps secure your child’s spot in the program. Reimbursement amounts are based on the cancellation date, as follows:

Before April 1: Full tuition refund minus the $50 administrative fee per day.

April 1 - April 15: 75% refund minus the $50 administrative fee per day.

April 16 - April 30: 50% refund minus the $50 administrative fee per day.

After May 1: No refund available.​​
Transportation and Wednesday Early release tuition are refunded at the same rates as above.​
