LUIS HERNÁNDEZ GIL
Accomplished ESL Teacher with a proven track record preparing students to take official English exams, most notably the Cambridge exams. With extensive experience working within language academies and public schools in Spain and other countries. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Translation and Interpreting and a Master’s Degree in Advanced English Studies, both from the University of Salamanca, Spain. He is a native speaker of English and bilingual in Spanish. Also proficient in French. He has the expertise, patience and enthusiasm to plan and give successful lessons as well as to monitor and assess students’ learning. He also has the ability to encourage students to learn through motivation and positive behavior.
Amanda L. Williams
Amanda is a native speaker of English and bilingual in Spanish. She holds a
Proficiency Certificate and a Masters in Educational Coaching and Emotional Intelligence, from UFEL, in Salamanca, where she graduated with honors. She also has a BA in English Philology from the University of Salamanca and Certificate on Teaching Methodology.
Amanda is passionate about teaching English and her wide experience has taught her how to dive into a student's fear when facing a new challenge, guiding them throughout the process of learning while providing them with the necessary tools to find their way to success.
Julie has a BA in Psychology and Theatre Arts from Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts and a certificate in TEFL. She worked in Children's Theatre for 10 years and taught ESL in the New York City Public School System for 15 years. She is specialized in teaching full immersion language and content classes based on the U.S. Common Core State Standards using a flipped-classroom approach to foster creativity and critical thinking skills.
Languages studied include: Mandarin, Arabic, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. Julie is enthusiastic about teaching and loves helping children get excited about learning.
